What causes acute allergies?

The most common acute allergy in life is urticaria. The occurrence of urticaria is also related to many factors. It mainly depends on what substances the patient's body will have an allergic reaction to. Common allergens include fish, eggs, medicines, pollen, etc., which are all likely to cause acute allergies. In the event of acute allergies, patients should first avoid allergens and then wash the allergic skin with warm water. If there is no sign of improvement, they should be sent to the hospital for treatment in time, or take specific medications to relieve the symptoms. Learn more about what causes acute allergies?

Causes

There are many factors that cause urticaria, and the cause is relatively complicated. About 3/4 of patients cannot find the cause, especially chronic urticaria. Common causes of the disease include: Food: fish, shrimp, eggs, and milk are the most common, followed by meat and certain plant foods, such as strawberries, cocoa, and tomatoes. In addition, spoiled food decomposes into polypeptides, and alkaline polypeptides are histamine releasers. Protein foods are absorbed in the form of peptones or polypeptides before being completely digested, which can cause urticaria. This is more common in children and may also be due to the different permeability of the digestive tract mucosa in children and adults. In addition, coloring, flavoring, preservatives, and natural or synthetic substances added to food can also cause urticaria.

Drugs: They can be divided into two categories. One is drugs that can form antigens, such as penicillin, serum, vaccines, sulfonamides, furazolidone, etc.; the other is histamine releasers, such as aspirin, morphine, codeine, pethidine, polymyxin, vitamin B, quinine, hydralazine, etc.

Infection: Various infectious factors can cause this disease. The most common ones are viruses that cause upper respiratory tract infections and Staphylococcus aureus, followed by hepatitis, infectious mononucleosis and coxsackievirus; parasitic infections such as ascariasis, hookworms, schistosomiasis, filariasis, amoeba and malarial parasites; bacterial infections such as acute tonsillitis, alveolar abscess, sinusitis, impetigo, sepsis, etc.

Massage therapy

1. Massage the Baichongwo points on both knees of the child, 500 times on each side, and massage the Zusanli point 100 times

2. Pinch the diaphragm for 5 times and massage the Quchi point for 1 minute.

Note that massage therapy has a certain effect in treating acute allergic urticaria. However, for stubborn urticaria, it should be treated in conjunction with anti-allergic drugs, acupuncture, cupping, omike and other methods.

Self-massage

Point kneading method

The patient takes a sitting position and uses the tip of the thumb to press and rub the Quchi, Hegu, Xuehai, Geshu and Weizhong acupoints respectively to produce a strong feeling of soreness and swelling in the local area. Press and rub each acupoint for 1 minute.
