What causes testicular cancer

What causes testicular cancer

Testicular cancer is a common malignant tumor in the male urinary system. Its formation is not caused by a single factor, but is closely related to multiple factors such as genetics, endocrine, chemical exposure and infection.

1. Genetic factors: Studies have found that men with a family history of testicular cancer have a relatively higher risk of developing the disease. This may be related to certain specific mutations in genetic genes, which may increase the risk of abnormal cell proliferation.

2. Endocrine factors: The testicles are the main producer of male sex hormones. When hormone levels in the body are abnormal, such as too high testosterone levels or too low estrogen levels, testicular cells may become cancerous.

3. Long-term exposure to certain chemicals: For example, harmful substances in the environment such as pesticides and dyes may damage testicular cells through different mechanisms and induce cancer.

4. Infection factors: Some viral infections, such as herpes virus and papillomavirus, have been found to be associated with testicular cancer. These viruses may lay the groundwork for cancer by interfering with normal cell function or inducing chronic inflammation.

Facing the potential threat of testicular cancer, male friends should be vigilant, pay attention to personal hygiene, avoid unnecessary contact with chemicals, and have regular health checks. If abnormal symptoms such as painless testicular lumps and heaviness in the scrotum are found, they should seek medical attention immediately for early detection and treatment. At the same time, men with a family history of the disease should enhance their awareness of self-monitoring and consult professionals in a timely manner to develop personalized prevention and screening plans.
