What are the correct steps for applying makeup?

Women spend a lot of money on cosmetics and a lot of time every day putting on makeup, but makeup is a technical job. No matter how high-end the cosmetics are and how good their quality is, if you don't know the correct makeup method, you still can't achieve a look that satisfies you. There are many things to pay attention to when putting on makeup. First of all, you need to know the function of each cosmetic, use each cosmetic on the right part, and use the correct makeup tools. In particular, you need to know the order of makeup. The makeup on the face is divided into eye makeup, lip makeup, etc. The makeup techniques for each part are different. When putting on makeup, you must not only be very patient, but also keep the following steps in mind.

Step 1: Base makeup

The key to a perfect makeup look is the base. If time permits, you can first apply a moisturizing mask to make your skin more crystal clear and radiant, choose a liquid foundation of the same color as your skin tone, and then use the foundation to evenly apply the liquid foundation on your face, lightly sweeping back and forth to avoid leaving brush marks. It will feel like drawing countless small "X"s on your face. After using the foundation brush, you can gently press the entire face with a sponge. This will help the foundation be distributed more evenly and make the overall makeup effect more natural and transparent.

Step 2: Set your makeup

Why do many girls always feel that their makeup looks dirty and oily? The problem is that they don’t set their makeup carefully. Most loose powders come in many shades. The reason why there are so many shades is not just because they look good, but there are reasons for it. For example, pink is suitable for pale skin, green is suitable for skin with red blood streaks, and purple is suitable for dull skin. The model uses purple. First, use a dry powder puff to pick up an appropriate amount of loose powder, fold it in half and knead it evenly. Tap off the excess powder with your fingers, press evenly on the skin, and then use a large makeup brush to brush off the excess powder. Don't forget the oily areas such as the corners of the eyes, wings of the nose, and corners of the mouth. A good loose powder not only has the effect of setting makeup and absorbing oil, but more importantly, it can play a secondary modifying role.

Step 3: Eyeliner

Place the mirror 20 cm away from your body, look down, and use your ring finger to gently pull your eyelids upwards. Follow the root of the eyelashes and draw in sections from the end of the eye to the corner of the eye. The outer canthus of the eye is elongated. Use an eyeliner brush to evenly apply the eyeliner from the corner of the eye to the end of the eye to make the lines natural and clear. You must not skip the step of using an eyeliner brush to smudge the eyeliner. This step can make the eyeliner look natural and not too rigid. If you have double eyelids or oily eyes, it is recommended that you use eyeliner cream. Cream eyeliner lasts longer than eyeliner pencil or eyeliner powder, and is less rigid and easier to control than liquid eyeliner.

Step 4: Eyeshadow

Use a medium-sized eyeshadow brush to pick up white highlighter and sweep it over the entire upper eyelid from the inner corner to the outer corner to emphasize the structure. Use a small eye shadow brush to repeatedly sweep the brown color on the eyeliner several times. Control the area of the brown color and only use it in a small area. This will make the entire eye look more three-dimensional. When blending, pay attention to the transition of layers to avoid the dirty feeling caused by uneven application.

Step 5: Mascara

The model has thick eyelashes, so I helped her choose a lengthening mascara. Mascara is an important step in adjusting the eyes. If the mascara is applied very neatly and cleanly and the eyelashes are curled tightly, the eyes will appear much bigger. It also helps to reduce the fatigue caused by dark circles, and curled eyelashes can make you look more energetic. Curl your eyelashes in sections, starting from the outermost part, then the middle, and finally the root. This way, your eyelashes will look natural and curled, and the curl can reach 80 degrees. Use a 'Z' motion to brush your eyelashes. Don't apply too much mascara, as it will be too heavy and your eyelashes won't curl up.

Step 6: Lower eyeliner

Choose a black eyeliner that is easy to apply and draw it at the end of the eye to emphasize the strength of the eyes. Draw it 2/3 of the way outside the upper and lower eyeliners on the inner eyelid, and then use a small eyeshadow brush to lightly blend it. Pay attention to the depth of the eyeliner. The better you control it, the more beautiful the makeup will be. You can apply a little more weight at the end of the eye. Finally, use white eye shadow to paint on the inner eyelid and eye head, so that the eye outline will become bigger and brighter.

Step 7: Reshape your face

Apply a dark-toned face-correcting powder or a foundation one shade darker than your skin tone to the triangular area from the ear to the zygomatic muscle and the jaw angle from back to front. Use a face-correcting white tone to brighten the nose bridge, forehead, and chin from top to bottom. Visually create a sense of contour and enhance the face shape.

Step 8: Blush

In the whole makeup, eye shadow is the visual focus, so blush and lip color should be lightly applied. The model chose pink blush powder. Since the model has a diamond-shaped face, the blush applied for her is a round blush that gradually blends out. This is only suitable for diamond-shaped faces or those who look cute.

Step 9: Lip Gloss

Choose a light pink glitter lip gloss and apply it all over. The makeup effect is very charming.
