How to care for the sequelae of cerebral hemorrhage surgery?

Cerebral hemorrhage is a very terrible disease symptom. Severe cerebral hemorrhage symptoms can cause direct threat to the patient's life. Cerebral hemorrhage mostly occurs in middle-aged and elderly people, posing a serious threat to their lives. The main treatment for cerebral hemorrhage is surgery, but it is easy to cause sequelae. Let’s take a look at how to care for the sequelae of cerebral hemorrhage surgery?

The causes of cerebral hemorrhage are mainly related to cerebral vascular lesions and sclerosis. Vascular diseases are closely related to hyperlipidemia, diabetes, hypertension, vascular aging, smoking, etc. What is commonly referred to as cerebral hemorrhage refers to spontaneous primary cerebral hemorrhage. Patients with cerebral hemorrhage often suffer sudden attacks when they are emotionally excited or exerting too much effort. The early mortality rate of cerebral hemorrhage is very high. About half of the patients die within a few days of onset, and most of the survivors have sequelae of varying degrees.

Daily care:

1. Maintain the patient's psychological balance. First of all, a harmonious and warm atmosphere should be created in the family to relieve the patient's various concerns and mental burdens and avoid emotional stimulation.

2. Create a good living environment to make the patient feel comfortable, help stabilize the patient's emotions and promote mental health.

3. Ensure proper nutrition and intake: Patients with sequelae of cerebral hemorrhage often suffer from aphasia, cannot express their wishes correctly, or have choking and difficulty swallowing, cannot guarantee eating, and often have insufficient or excessive intake. Family members should pay enough attention to this. The diet, dosage and supply time should be determined, and feeding can be given through a nasogastric tube if necessary.

4. Adhere to rehabilitation training. The main symptoms of patients with sequelae of cerebral hemorrhage are generally limb paralysis, language and intellectual disabilities. Therefore, rehabilitation training should be insisted on to prevent disuse atrophy of muscles and joint stiffness in patients. The same goes for language and intelligence training.

5. Pay attention to preventing the occurrence of complications. Common complications include bedsores, urinary tract infections, pneumonia, limb deformities, skin burns, etc. Careful care should be provided under the guidance of a doctor to prevent the occurrence of complications.

6. Smooth bowel movements: Constipation and excessive force during defecation may induce hemorrhagic cerebral infarction and cerebral embolism. In order to maintain smooth bowel movements, have regular bowel movements and eat appropriate amounts of celery, carrots, fruits, etc. If necessary, you can use medicines, such as senna soaked in water, hemp seed intestinal runner pills, fruit laxatives, etc.
