What is the serious cause of raised erosive gastritis

Gastritis is a common disease in life and is one of the more serious digestive tract diseases. Because the function of the stomach is irreplaceable, once a problem occurs, it will affect the entire body and bring great pain to the whole body. For example, erosive gastritis is a relatively serious symptom. Let’s take a look at the serious causes of erosive gastritis. What are the symptoms?

Erosive gastritis is divided into acute erosive gastritis and chronic erosive gastritis. Acute erosive gastritis is an acute gastritis characterized by multiple erosions of the gastric mucosa, also known as acute gastric mucosal lesions or acute erosive hemorrhagic gastritis. It is one of the important causes of upper gastrointestinal bleeding, accounting for about 20% of upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Chronic erosive gastritis is also known as verrucous gastritis or acne-like gastritis. Generally, the only symptoms are fullness after meals, heartburn, belching, irregular abdominal pain and indigestion.

Causes of erosive gastritis:

1. Endogenous factors

Critical diseases such as severe trauma, extensive burns, sepsis, intracranial lesions, shock, and severe stress states such as failure of important organs are common causes of acute erosive gastritis.

2. Exogenous factors

Certain drugs such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, steroid hormones, certain antibiotics, alcohol, etc. can damage the gastric mucosal barrier, leading to increased mucosal permeability, and the hydrogen ions of gastric juice permeate back into the gastric mucosa, causing gastric mucosal erosion and bleeding.

Clinical manifestations of erosive gastritis:

1. Acute erosive gastritis

The onset is relatively acute, with sudden upper gastrointestinal bleeding during the course of the primary disease, manifested as vomiting blood and black stools. Black stools alone are rare. Bleeding is often intermittent. Heavy bleeding can cause syncope, shock, and anemia. There may be dull pain or tenderness in the upper abdomen during bleeding.

2. Chronic erosive gastritis

Symptoms are mostly non-specific indigestion symptoms such as upper abdominal pain, acid reflux, fullness after meals, loss of appetite, etc.
