What are the symptoms of brain blockage?

Cerebral congestion is actually a common brain disease, especially among middle-aged and elderly people. Brain blockage poses a great threat to health and can even be life-threatening in severe cases. Patients with cerebral blockage generally have more obvious symptoms, such as nausea, headache, vomiting, mental changes, drowsiness, etc. These are contrary to normal behavior and require vigilance.

Dizziness or headache suddenly gets worse or changes from intermittent headache to continuous severe headache

It is generally believed that headache and dizziness are often precursors of ischemic cerebral infarction, while severe headache accompanied by nausea and vomiting are often precursors of hemorrhagic cerebral infarction.

Transient visual impairment

It manifests as blurred vision, or loss of visual field, and incomplete vision. This phenomenon usually recovers on its own within an hour and is an early warning sign of cerebral infarction.

Language and mental changes

Refers to difficulty in pronunciation, aphasia, and difficulty writing; sudden changes in personality, becoming silent, indifferent, or irritable and talkative, restless, or experiencing temporary judgment or intellectual impairment, and drowsiness.

Other premonitory manifestations

Such as nausea, vomiting or choking, or blood pressure fluctuations accompanied by dizziness or tinnitus, unexplained recurrent nosebleeds, are often the recent precursors of hypertension and cerebral hemorrhage.

Drowsiness and sleepiness

It manifests as continuous yawning, especially the reaction of hypoxia in the respiratory center. As cerebral arteriosclerosis worsens, the arterial lumen becomes narrower and narrower, and cerebral ischemia worsens seriously. About 80% of people yawn frequently 5 to 10 days before an ischemic stroke, so don't ignore this important warning signal.

Abnormal body sensation and movement

Such as paroxysmal unilateral limb numbness or weakness, loss of hand-held objects, unexplained fainting or falls, unilateral facial paralysis, lasting less than 24 hours.
