Low fever is what we often call a low fever. Basically everyone will have a low fever. This is very common, so there is no need to be too nervous. As long as you do the appropriate care, you will be relieved and recover soon. Common symptoms of low fever include decreased appetite, chills, joint and muscle discomfort, etc., so if this kind of discomfort occurs, corresponding examinations and treatments should be carried out. Symptoms of a low-grade fever A low-grade fever refers to a body temperature between 37.3℃ and 38℃. A low-grade fever can also be physiological, meaning it is not a sign of illness. The symptoms generally include lack of energy, loss of appetite, chills, some discomfort in the muscles of the joints of the hands and feet, and dizziness. This low-grade fever is mostly between 37.2 and 37.5℃ (axillary temperature), with good spirits and appetite, no symptoms, and no abnormalities found through various examinations. In this case, it is best to measure the rectal temperature at the same time. If the rectal temperature is below 38°C, it should not be considered a fever (the rectal temperature is 1°C higher than the axillary temperature). For children, this low fever is normal. Because the standard for normal body temperature is based on the values of most people, not an absolute value. Treatment of low-grade fever Method 1: Warm and wet compress Using warm water can also help dissipate heat, and it is very simple to do. Specific steps: 1. Prepare warm water, the hot water temperature should be around 30℃. 2. Undress the baby, wet the towel, and rub the baby's body up and down with the warm water towel. 3. Change towels every 10-15 minutes. Method 2: Ice compress Heat is mainly transferred through the exchange of heat between ice placed in large blood vessels throughout the body and the flowing blood. At the same time, it can reduce the oxygen consumption of brain cells, delay brain cell damage, and is beneficial to the body's microcirculation. Specific steps: 1. Put homemade ice cubes just taken out of the refrigerator into a plastic bag, tie it tightly, put it in 2-3 layers to prevent leakage, and then wrap a towel on the outside. 2. Apply ice packs to the back of the head, forehead, armpits, neck, groin and other places where large blood vessels pass. 3. Change it every 5-10 minutes until the high fever subsides. |
