In order to avoid the occurrence of this disease, sheep farmers can inject sheeppox vaccine when the ewes are pregnant. The immunity period of this vaccine is five months. It is reported that it is very necessary to inject this vaccine into pregnant ewes. So when is the best time to get the vaccine?

First, vaccines and usage

Aluminum hydroxide vaccine for lamb dysentery

For pregnant ewes, inject once 20 to 30 days and 10 to 20 days before delivery, respectively, under the skin on the inner side of both hind legs. The vaccine dosage is 2 ml and 3 ml per mouse respectively. Immunity develops 10 days after injection. Lambs obtain passive immunity through milk, and the immunity period is 5 months.

Sheeppox chicken embryo attenuated vaccine

To prevent goat pox, vaccination is given from March to April every year, and the immunity period is 1 year. During vaccination, regardless of the size of the sheep, 0.5 ml of Tianxingjian's Sheeppox One-Zhiling vaccine will be injected subcutaneously at the hairless area inside the base of the tail of each sheep.

Anthrax Vaccine No. Ⅱ

Preventing anthrax in goats. The injection is given once a year in mid-September. Regardless of the size of the sheep, 1 ml is injected subcutaneously for each sheep, and immunity will be generated after 14 days.

Lamb E. coli vaccine

Prevention of E. coli disease in lambs. For subcutaneous injection, 1 ml for each lamb under 3 months old and 2 ml for each lamb over 3 months old. Immunity develops 14 days after vaccination and lasts for 6 months.

Second, disease prevention and treatment

Do a good job in disease prevention and control. Follow the sheep immunization schedule and vaccinate in time. Sheep houses should be disinfected regularly, and to prevent mosquito bites, the sheep can also be sprayed with medicine.

Deworm regularly. In summer, sheep are injected with serum drugs, 0.02 ml per kilogram of body weight, to expel internal and external parasites.

Prevent and treat diarrhea. When sheep have diarrhea, you can take 2 vials of 80,000 units of gentamicin orally on an empty stomach in the morning for 2 days.

Immunization. Sheep that have not been vaccinated with W vaccine or sheeppox vaccine must be vaccinated again.

Third, sheep quadruple vaccine or pentavalent vaccine

The four-in-one vaccine for sheep is a vaccine for rapid epidemic disease, sudden death, enterotoxemia, and lamb dysentery. The five-in-one vaccine is a vaccine for rapid epidemic disease, sudden death, enterotoxemia, lamb dysentery, and black sheep. Vaccination is given twice a year at the end of February to the beginning of March and at the end of September. Regardless of the size of the sheep, 5 ml is injected subcutaneously or intramuscularly. Immunity develops 14 days after vaccination.
