What are the obvious symptoms of pneumoconiosis

Pneumoconiosis is caused by occupational reasons, which leads to long-term inhalation of industrial dust, resulting in diffuse fibrosis. This disease is particularly harmful to the patient's health. The disease progresses relatively slowly and is often combined with chronic bronchitis, which often causes cough, chest pain, chronic cor pulmonale, etc. It can cause respiratory failure, lung infection, etc.

1. Often combined with chronic bronchitis

In the early stage of pneumoconiosis, the cough is usually not obvious, but as the disease progresses, the patients are often complicated with chronic bronchitis, and in the late stage, the patients are often complicated with lung infection, both of which can significantly aggravate the cough. Cough is related to season, climate, etc.

2. Coughing up phlegm

It is mainly caused by the continuous removal of dust by the respiratory system. Generally, the amount of sputum coughed up is not much, and it is mostly gray and thin. If combined with pulmonary infection and chronic bronchitis, the amount of sputum will increase significantly, and the sputum will appear yellow, sticky or lumpy. Often difficult to cough up.

3. Chest pain

Pneumoconiosis patients often feel chest pain, but there is usually no correlation or parallel relationship between chest pain and the clinical manifestations of pneumoconiosis. The location varies and often changes, and is mostly localized. It is usually a dull pain, but may also be a bloating or stabbing pain.

4. Chronic cor pulmonale

Chronic cor pulmonale occurs in some advanced patients because chronic bronchitis causes airway narrowing, increased ventilation resistance, obstructive pulmonary disease, and increased pulmonary artery pressure, leading to chronic cor pulmonale.

5. Respiratory failure, upper respiratory tract and lung infection

Pneumothorax and other factors are the main causes of decompensated respiratory failure, and the abuse of sedatives and sleeping pills is also one of the causes of respiratory failure in patients with pneumoconiosis.
