I'm sure everyone has had ulcers before, and I believe how uncomfortable they are is well known. However, since they grow in the mouth, many people think that it doesn't matter and they will be gone in a couple of days. However, ulcers in the mouth that do not heal for a long time may become cancerous over time due to frequent stimulation from chewing and talking. Don't be careless. So how should ulcers at the root of the tongue be treated? Here are some good and fast Chinese medicine treatments: 1. Rehmannia and Ophiopogon Decoction: 15 grams each of dried Rehmannia and Ophiopogon, 12 grams each of cooked Rehmannia and Asparagus, 10 grams each of Scutellaria and Dendrobium, 9 grams each of Artemisia Capillaris, loquat leaves, and licorice, 6 grams each of Citrus aurantium, Coptis chinensis, and Platycodon. Take 1 dose daily, decocted in water and taken in 2 doses. For children, reduce the dosage accordingly. Nourishes yin and produces body fluid, clears away heat and detoxifies. Mainly used to treat hot type oral ulcers. 2. Astragalus and Indigo Decoction: 25 grams of raw astragalus, 6 grams of powdered indigo, 12 grams each of dandelion, Ophiopogon japonicus, Adenophora scutellariae, and Scrophularia ningpoensis, 15 grams each of Dioscorea opposita and Rehmannia glutinosa, and 10 grams of Atractylodes macrocephala. Take 1 dose daily, decocted in water and taken in 2 doses. Nourish yin and reduce fire, clear away heat and detoxify, support sores and promote tissue regeneration. Mainly used to treat recurrent oral ulcers. 3. Pinellia and Eclipta prostrata: 20 grams each of Pinellia ternata and Eclipta prostrata, 15 grams each of Scutellaria baicalensis, Codonopsis pilosula, and Ligustrum lucidum, 10 grams each of dried ginger, licorice, and jujube, and 6 grams of Coptis chinensis. Take 1 dose daily, decoct in water, and take in the morning and evening. Clears away heat and purges fire, dries dampness and heals sores. Mainly used to treat stubborn recurrent oral ulcers. For those with burning pain in mouth ulcers, add honeysuckle and Ophiopogon japonicus; for those with bitter mouth and dry throat, add Bupleurum chinense and Curcuma aromatica; for those with swollen and painful gums, remove dried ginger and add Psoralea corylifolia and Angelica dahurica; for constipation, add Rhubarb with wine; for those with abdominal distension and poor appetite, add Amomum villosum; for those with thirst, bad breath and irritability, add Ophiopogon japonicus, Rehmannia glutinosa and Gardenia jasminoides. 4. Talc borax powder: 30 grams of raw borax, 3 grams of cinnabar, 55 grams of talc, 6 grams of amber, 4 grams of borneol, and 20 grams of licorice. Grind the above medicines into fine powder, then mix cinnabar and borax, and grind them into extremely fine powder (traditional Chinese medicine calls it "color-coating"). Then mix all the medicines, grind them into fine powder, and put them into a bottle for later use. When using, just apply the powder on the ulcer surface. Apply 3 times a day. If the pain is too severe to eat, apply once before meals. Mainly used to treat oral ulcers. |
