What are the treatments for fungal otitis media?

Otitis media is a relatively common disease, but there are many causes of otitis media. Although otitis media does not have an obvious impact on the body when it first occurs, it will cause serious consequences if not treated in time. To treat otitis media, you need to go to the hospital for examination and receive some treatment under the guidance of a doctor. The treatment and cure of fungal otitis media are shown in the following aspects:

1. Actively treat nasal diseases.

Treatment can be carried out by methods such as adenoidectomy, nasal septum correction, inferior turbinate surgery, and nasal polypectomy. For some patients with particularly enlarged tonsils and recurring secretory otitis media, we should perform tonsillectomy, which is also a good treatment method.

2. Clear the accumulated fluid.

The surgical methods we use are different for different patient conditions. We can use tympanostomy, myringotomy, and tympanostomy tube placement to achieve the treatment goal. If we want to keep the nasal cavity and Eustachian tube open, we can use the Eustachian tube inflator, nasal pinching and inflation method, the Bosch ball method, or the catheter method to do so.

3. Antibiotic treatment.

We can use antibiotics to treat otitis media, or use other synthetic antibacterial drugs.

4. Chinese medicine

Roast the Sophora flavescens in a pot over low heat until dry, grind it into powder, grind the borneol into powder, and set aside. Stir evenly 0.5g of dried Sophora flavescens, 0.5g of borneol and 3g of sesame oil in a spoon and drip into the ear.
