Is teeth cleaning really good for teeth?

Teeth cleaning is actually a way to make teeth whiter, but many people worry that teeth cleaning will have adverse effects on their teeth. In fact, if teeth cleaning is done with the correct method and attention is paid to post-maintenance, it is also good for oral hygiene and health. However, people suffering from some acute infectious diseases must wait until they are cured before having their teeth cleaned.

1. The process of teeth cleaning is usually a bit painful. If the inflammation is severe or there is a lot of tartar, or if the teeth have not been cleaned for a long time, there may be some bleeding. The bleeding after teeth cleaning will generally disappear slowly within one or two days. If you maintain good oral hygiene, the bleeding from brushing before teeth cleaning will most likely disappear automatically in about a week.

2. After teeth cleaning, the teeth will be a little sensitive to cold and heat and feel sore. This temporary symptom and the original bleeding from brushing will usually disappear in about a week. If the pain symptoms persist, you can consider using anti-sensitive toothpaste on the market. They will usually improve after using it for about a month.

3. People with bleeding diseases, such as thrombocytopenia, leukemia, uncontrolled type 2 diabetes, etc., should use appropriate amounts of procoagulant drugs in advance to control the coagulation rate to avoid continuous bleeding during teeth washing.

4. People with acute infectious diseases, such as those in the active stage of acute hepatitis and tuberculosis patients, should wait until the disease stabilizes before going to the hospital for teeth cleaning. On the one hand, it is because of their illness, and on the other hand, it is to avoid infecting others.

5. Patients with acute inflammation of local soft and hard tissues in the oral cavity should wait until the acute phase is over before having their teeth cleaned to prevent the inflammation from spreading through the blood.

6. Patients with malignant tumors of the gums should not undergo routine teeth cleaning to avoid the spread of the tumor.

7. Patients with active angina pectoris, myocardial infarction within six months, and uncontrolled hypertension and heart failure should not receive routine teeth cleaning treatment.
