What should I do if I keep urinating blood? Pay attention to these things

Hematuria is a common clinical symptom. Increased hemoglobin in urine can cause hematuria. Continuous hematuria is quite serious. Many people don’t know what to do if they continue to urinate hematuria. When this happens, you must pay attention to treatment and also pay attention to lifestyle and dietary adjustments.

1. Patients with hematuria, especially those with visible hematuria, should absolutely stay in bed and rest. If the hematuria and renal colic are caused by urinary stones, you can jump on the spot. The up and down vibrations can promote the discharge of stones, and the pain and hematuria will be relieved.

2. Patients with hematuria must drink plenty of water or eat watermelon to increase urine volume and prevent the formation of blood clots and blockage of the urethra.

3. If it can be confirmed that the bleeding is from the kidney, bladder, or urethra, placing ice packs or applying cold towels on the waist, lower abdomen, and perineum will help stop the bleeding and reduce or slow down the bleeding.

4. Patients with hematuria must not eat any spicy foods, such as white sugar, leeks, mustard, peppers, etc. Try to eat less grilled, greasy foods, seafood, and warm foods. Pay attention to eating foods that have cooling blood and hemostatic effects, such as amaranth, shepherd's purse, fresh lotus root, water chestnut, winter melon, watermelon, broad beans, persimmon, lotus seeds, mung beans, red beans, etc. You can also eat more fruits that are rich in vitamins C and P, such as apples, pears, and oranges.

5. Note: There are many reasons for hematuria, but the most common ones are caused by urinary system diseases, such as renal tuberculosis, nephritis, urinary tract infection, urinary tract stones, urinary tract tumors, etc. If hematuria is accompanied by long-term frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating, it is more likely to be renal tuberculosis. If hematuria is accompanied by edema of the eyelids, face, or body, increased blood pressure, and fever, it may be acute nephritis, and it is best to treat it symptomatically.
