What is the lump in my chest?

The incidence of breast diseases has been increasing in recent years, which is mainly related to people's living habits. Breast lumps may be caused by diseases such as breast hyperplasia, breast fibroids, breast tumors, etc., so everyone must take them seriously.

1. Breast hyperplasia

There is a lump in the breast, accompanied by slight tenderness. The lump is usually at the edge of the breast, usually on one side. When the lump becomes larger, it becomes cystic. When it moves to the edge, there is an obvious sense of fluctuation. It has nothing to do with the menstrual cycle.

2. Breast fibroids

Generally, it occurs in women aged 18-25. The lumps grow on one or both sides of the breast. The surface skin is smooth, the texture is hard, the boundaries are obvious, and they can be pushed without any pain. They are not related to the menstrual cycle.

3. Cystic hyperplasia of the breast

Usually, the breasts will be swollen and painful before menstruation, and many nodular lumps can be felt. The nodules are harder, have blurred boundaries, and can move. The color of the fluid that overflows from the nipple is yellow-green, brown, or bloody.

4. Breast tumors

There is no pain in the early stage. It is a single small lump with a surface nodule. There is no obvious boundary with the surrounding tissue, no tenderness, and it is usually fixed.
