What causes urethral pimples?

The urethral opening is a location with a high incidence rate in the urinary system. If some small bumps appear at the urethral opening, you should pay more attention, because it may be caused by some genital diseases, such as genital herpes, urinary tract infection, Candida infection, etc.

1. You may have genital herpes

The symptoms of a sexually transmitted disease such as genital herpes will also show that there are bumps on the urethra. Which one should be washed first? Therefore, it is very likely that this disease is causing trouble. The bumps caused by genital herpes often occur on the foreskin, glans, coronal sulcus and penis of men, and occasionally at the urethral opening. Primary genital herpes is often accompanied by general discomfort, low fever, headache and other systemic symptoms, and local swollen lymph nodes. The disease often recurs. Recurrent genital herpes is milder than primary one, causes less damage, and often has no systemic symptoms. Primary or recurrent genital herpes may be accompanied by pimples on the coronal sulcus of the glans penis and the urethral orifice, as well as dysuria, acute urinary retention, herpetic whitlow, encephalitis, and endometritis.

2. May be caused by genital warts

What disease is it that causes pimples on the urethral opening? Pimples on the urethral opening may be red spots on the glans penis, outside the coronal sulcus of the glans penis, or on the inner side of the foreskin, or when there are wart-like structures on the penis, urethral opening, anus, and perianal junction, you should consider the possibility of genital warts. Genital warts are often caused by: unclean sexual life, using contaminated daily necessities used by patients with genital warts, such as towels and bathtubs, or using toilets in public places, etc. This is a sexually transmitted disease. This is obviously different from the red spots on the glans where the coronal sulci are neatly arranged.

3. May be caused by balanitis

The growth of pimples at the urethral opening may be caused by the male patient's foreskin being too long, and the accumulation of unclean matter between the foreskin and the glans, namely smegma, which irritates the local foreskin and mucous membrane and causes inflammation, namely balanitis. In addition, it cannot be ruled out that it is caused by sexual intercourse. This situation is common when the female has gynecological vaginitis, and cross-infection through sexual intercourse causes the male patient to suffer from balanitis. Usually there are yellow, red, or semi-white translucent pearly papules on the glans. It is approximately 1-3 mm in size. They can be arranged in one or several rows along the coronal sulcus of the glans. 24% of adult men have penile pearly papules, which are red spots on the glans penis.
