Is excessive earwax caused by kidney deficiency?

At present, kidney function can affect the health of the cochlea and hearing, but there is no indication that kidney deficiency can lead to increased earwax. If the increase in earwax affects hearing, it needs to be cleaned promptly. It is also necessary to check whether otitis media has caused the increase in earwax.

In almost all relevant materials of traditional Chinese medicine, tinnitus and deafness are regarded as important indicators for diagnosis of kidney deficiency. Many scholars at home and abroad have conducted a lot of clinical and experimental research on the relationship between the kidney and the ear. People have found that patients with advanced renal insufficiency often have symptoms of tinnitus and deafness. Hearing loss is common in patients undergoing renal dialysis and kidney transplantation. Both clinical and animal experiments have confirmed that ototoxic antibiotics are toxic to the kidneys, and diuretics that inhibit renal function can also cause cochlear damage.
