The symptoms of wind-heat cold are worsening fever, headache, red, swollen, dry and painful throat, nasal congestion and yellow mucus, cough with sticky or yellow sputum, thirst and desire to drink, and fear of wind. Looking in the mirror, you can see that the tip of the tongue is red and the coating is thin, white and slightly yellow. It may also aggravate acne on the head and face, constipation, etc. The treatment method should be mainly based on relieving exterior symptoms with pungent and cool properties. (2) Mulberry, chrysanthemum and mint drink: Add mulberry leaves, chrysanthemum, mint, bitter bamboo leaves and a little honey to appropriate amount of water, boil and drink frequently instead of tea. Mulberry leaves clear away lung heat; chrysanthemums dispel wind-heat, improve eyesight and soothe the liver; mint is an important medicine for dispersing wind-heat and can quickly relieve symptoms such as fever and headache. It is also suitable for patients with high blood pressure, headache, or blurred vision. (3) Steamed pear with Fritillaria and Adenophora: Peel and core a pear, add appropriate amounts of Fritillaria, Adenophora, mint and rock sugar, put them in a bowl, add water and steam until cooked. Eat them in the morning and evening for several days. This soup moistens dryness and relieves cough, resolves phlegm and clears the lungs. It is especially suitable for the elderly and children who have a cold and fever that damages the yin and causes dry throat and cough, lung heat and yellow phlegm, or thirst and dry stool due to loss of body fluid. |
