What is dry tongue? Symptoms of dry tongue

Dry tongue is very common in life. This disease is more common in people over middle age. After suffering from Sjogren's disease, the most obvious symptom is that you always feel dry mouth and tight skin, and you have to drink water constantly to relieve the symptoms. It has a great impact on the patients’ lives. When examining the tongue of patients with dry tongue, it is found that the tongue coating is particularly thick and greasy, which is a sign of dehydration.

1. Most people will experience dry mouth, which is the main symptom of Sjogren's disease. Generally, saliva secretion decreases, so the mouth is very dry. You need to drink water and carry water when going out to prevent dry mouth. The tongue is usually dark red or that red, with some cracks, the tip of the tongue is relatively thick, and there is also an odor in the mouth. These are symptoms emitted by the tongue.

2. The eyes are relatively dry. When I wake up in the morning, I always feel that my eyes are dry and astringent, which is particularly uncomfortable. Washing the face does not solve the problem. The more I wash my face, the drier it becomes. I always feel pain in the corners of my eyes, and my eyes shed tears when I look at things. After a long time, tears will keep flowing. This is the symptom of Sjogren's disease, so everyone needs special prevention.

3. Patients with Sjogren's syndrome need to drink water frequently, because it can replenish the body with water and increase the saliva in the mouth. You should also bring a bottle of water when going out. It is best to prepare purified water. Do not replace water with tea or wine. Drinking water can dilute the tongue coating and prevent the tongue from being dry for a long time and causing tongue ulcers.

4. Sjogren's syndrome causes the body's organs to become drier, including decreased immunity. Sjogren's syndrome mainly manifests itself in the eyes, mouth, nose, and other respiratory systems, and also in the throat, but the most serious symptoms are still manifested in the throat.
