What causes stomach acid?

Gastric acid is a secretion from the stomach. Excessive gastric acid can cause nausea and may even cause corrosion, but the causes of excessive gastric acid also need to be understood. There are many reasons for stomach acid. In addition to genetic factors, it may also be pathological stomach acid. This type of stomach acid must be treated early.

1. Genetic factors - Although gastric acid secretion is not directly classified as a genetic disease, genetic factors can lead to different physical constitutions, and the levels of gastric acid secretion in different physical constitutions are inconsistent. Therefore, the influence of genetic factors on excessive gastric acid cannot be ignored.

2. Pathological pantothenic acid - chronic gastritis, gastric or duodenal ulcer, etc., can increase gastric acid and often cause pantothenic acid.

3. Physiological heartburn - When you are nervous, overly tired, or in a bad mood, the cerebral cortex will be dysfunctional and cannot properly control the nerves that secrete gastric acid, causing increased gastric acid secretion; improper diet, such as food that is too sweet, too salty, too spicy, too sour, too cold, or too hot can stimulate increased gastric acid secretion; and some whole grains, sweet potatoes, potatoes, etc. contain a lot of starch, sugar, acid, etc., which will stimulate the stomach to produce a lot of gastric acid. Moreover, the remaining sugar in foods that are difficult to digest will ferment in the gastrointestinal tract and induce heartburn. In addition, certain drugs, such as aspirin, reserpine, and phenylbutazone, can also stimulate increased gastric acid secretion.

4. The parietal cells in the gastric mucosa are often stimulated and in an excited state, which can lead to excessive gastric acid. Here is an example. If the parasympathetic nervous system is in an excited state, it can continuously promote the release of a substance called acetylcholine.
