5. Certain types of headaches can also cause eye pain, among which migraine and temporal arteritis are the most common.

6. When shingles spreads to the eyes, it will not only cause great pain to the eyes, but may even cause blindness. Adults are usually more susceptible to this infection. In the early stages, there is no redness or obvious damage to the eyes. Only in the later stages will typical ulcers appear.

7. If eye pain persists for a week or two, then disappears temporarily and then recurs, you should get your eyes checked. Maybe you suffer from astigmatism, farsightedness, or nearsightedness, and wearing glasses of the correct degree can eliminate the symptoms.
