What are the symptoms of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis?

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is a lung disease with complex etiology. There are many causes of this disease, the most common ones are inhaled dust, toxic and harmful gas pollution, bacterial infection and long-term medication, which can all lead to idiopathic pulmonary interstitial fibrosis. After suffering from this disease, the human body's lung function will be severely damaged, causing difficulty in breathing.

Symptoms of pulmonary fibrosis

1. In the early stages of pulmonary interstitial fibrosis, symptoms may include shortness of breath, dry cough, little sputum, and white sticky sputum. In the late stage, pulmonary fibrosis may lead to pulmonary gas exchange disorders, hypoxemia and respiratory failure. Physical examination reveals clubbing, cyanosis, and crackles in the lungs.

2. If symptoms of pulmonary interstitial fibrosis appear in the early stages, patients should not be careless and should seek medical attention and treatment promptly to avoid delaying the disease and causing irreversible fibrous tissue to appear in large areas of the lungs. Patients with serious lung diseases such as tuberculosis should have regular check-ups after the disease is cured to ensure timely detection and early treatment.

Daily care for pulmonary interstitial fibrosis

1. Reduce activities and keep breathing steady. Strenuous or any physical activity can cause breathing to speed up, causing the patient to experience symptoms of shortness of breath and chest tightness. Severely ill patients need to stay in bed for a long time and turn their bodies frequently to avoid bedsores.

2. Keep the indoor air fresh, purify the air, reduce the content of mold, mites and dust, and do not keep pets. It is not suitable to place flowers and plants.

3. Patients should perform respiratory function exercises on their own, take deep breaths frequently, inhale and exhale slowly through an O-shaped mouth, and expand the chest.

4. Keep warm and avoid going out in cold weather. Low temperatures can reduce respiratory immunity, making it easy to be infected by bacteria and other pathogenic microorganisms, which can aggravate the disease.

Early detection of pulmonary interstitial fibrosis can cure the disease and reverse the progression of the annulus fibrosus. Therefore, if you experience any lung discomfort, you must go to the hospital in time and explain your history of lung disease to facilitate the doctor's judgment.
