Hemangiomas in children are relatively common and are usually benign tumors. Medically divided into capillary hemangioma, cavernous hemangioma and racemose hemangioma, the onset of the disease after the baby is born. If a child suffers from hemangioma, parents will definitely be anxious. In fact, hemangioma can be cured, so there is no need to worry too much in this regard. How to treat hemangioma? 1. Surgical treatment Surgery is the use of surgical methods to remove the diseased tissue in order to achieve the purpose of treating hemangioma. However, in general, the hemangioma lesion area is rich in blood vessels and has a large blood volume, and the amount of bleeding during surgery is extremely large, often causing severe hemorrhagic shock. A large amount of whole blood needs to be transfused during the operation, making the operation difficult and highly dangerous. 2. Laser treatment The principle is a high-temperature superficial cauterization to coagulate the hemangioma tissue and achieve the purpose of treating the hemangioma. However, the depth of laser treatment is generally controlled within 0.2-0.4mm of the surface skin. If it exceeds 0.4mm, obvious scars will be produced, and deep hemangiomas may easily cause bleeding and scar deformities. Therefore, traditional lasers are not suitable for the treatment of deeper cavernous hemangiomas, racemose hemangiomas, lymphangiomas, strawberry hemangiomas, and mixed hemangiomas, so they cannot be widely promoted. 3. Hormone therapy Hormone therapy is a method of taking adrenal cortex hormones orally. Although a small number of patients can achieve satisfactory therapeutic effects from oral corticosteroids, this therapy has significant side effects and should not be used casually. The pros and cons should be weighed. 4. Isotope therapy Isotopes are highly radioactive substances that can cause great harm to the human body. Large amounts of radiation will kill white blood cells, weaken the body's hematopoietic function and reduce immunity. Isotopes can only have a certain effect on hemangiomas on a small area of the body surface. They will not have a good therapeutic effect on hemangiomas deep under the skin and will leave scars. In addition, the areas treated with isotopes will leave a large amount of spots or discoloration (such as vitiligo). |
