Is palpitations serious?

Palpitations are actually a psychological disease. Most of the time, patients will show symptoms of palpitations, shortness of breath, and difficulty breathing. Sometimes they will become irritable. At this time, we must pay attention to correct conditioning, because this long-term psychological state will affect work and life.

1. Palpitations are a feeling of discomfort or panic in which one is conscious of the heart beating. When the heart rate speeds up, you feel the heart beating uncomfortably, and when the heart rate slows down, you feel the heart beating strongly. When palpitations occur, the heart rate can be fast, slow, or there may be an irregular heartbeat. People with normal heart rate and rhythm may also experience palpitations.

2. Palpitations refer to a disorder in which the heart beats restlessly without being frightened. It is mostly caused by qi and blood deficiency, phlegm and fluid retention, qi stagnation and blood stasis. Although the disease is not life-threatening, the condition fluctuates and is difficult to cure. In severe cases, patients cannot even live and work normally, causing great pain.

3. Pay attention to regulating your emotions and prevent excessive emotions such as joy and anger. Pay proper attention to rest, have less sexual intercourse, eat less food containing high animal fat, and eat less salty, spicy food, alcohol, tobacco, strong tea, coffee, etc. Participate in physical exercise appropriately, such as walking, Tai Chi, gymnastics, Qigong, etc., and pay attention to preventing colds. Be sure to control your emotions and be less angry.

4. Preventive care:

Patients with palpitations should remain optimistic, emotionally stable, persist in treatment, and maintain confidence. Avoid panic, excitement, worry, anger, etc. You should have a regular daily routine. Eat in moderation, eat nutritious and easily digestible foods, eat a low-fat, low-salt diet, and avoid smoking, drinking, and strong tea. Patients with mild symptoms can engage in appropriate physical activities without feeling tired or aggravating symptoms, and avoid strenuous activities. Patients with severe palpitations should rest in bed. They should also detect symptoms of changes in symptoms and precursors of serious illness as early as possible and be prepared for emergency treatment.
