Why does the pain inside the knee happen? What disease causes it?

1. Joint bone hyperplasia

As we age, the bones of the knee joint wear out over the years and the surrounding ligaments loosen, causing joint instability and leading to lesions that cause bone hyperplasia in the corresponding areas. This kind of hyperplasia is a phenomenon of human aging. After the age of 40, most people experience bone hyperplasia, but the location and degree of hyperplasia vary.

2. Synovitis

The invasion of wind, cold and dampness can cause gradual swelling and dysfunction of the knee joint, forming chronic knee synovitis. The joint swelling type is mainly caused by excessive exercise, and the pain varies in severity. The non-swollen type is characterized by joint pain, often accompanied by mild swelling.

3. Effusion

When the joints are diseased or certain systemic diseases occur, the amount of synovial fluid increases and forms joint effusion, causing joint pain and discomfort.

4. Arthritis

Knee arthritis is a disease based on degenerative pathological changes. It mostly affects middle-aged and elderly people, and its symptoms include redness, swelling and pain in the knees, pain when going up and down stairs, and knee soreness and discomfort when sitting, standing or walking.
