Why is the knee pain going down? These are the common causes

Sometimes knee pain will affect normal life. Common causes of knee pain include knee injuries, osteoarthritis, and osteomyelitis. Osteoarthritis is especially common among middle-aged and elderly people. It requires timely treatment and prevention.

1. Knee injury: If you often feel knee pain, or have symptoms such as swelling and tenderness in the knee joint, you should be alert to whether your knee is injured. This injury often results from significant stress on and around the knee joint.

2. Osteoarthritis Osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease of the joints that often occurs in middle-aged and elderly people, just like the wear and tear of machine parts after long-term use. A normal knee joint has cartilage protecting the bones. When the cartilage is worn out, bones rub against bones when walking, causing pain and difficulty in movement. Many people with this disease also experience difficulty squatting and joint stiffness when standing up after sitting for a long time.

3. Osteomyelitis: If the knee pain is accompanied by pain and tenderness in the lower femur and upper tibia, and the painful limb is afraid to move easily, and is accompanied by symptoms of systemic fever, you should be alert to whether it is osteomyelitis. You should seek medical attention promptly.

4. Tibial tubercle epiphysisitis: If you often feel knee pain and are unable to kneel and jump or go up and down stairs, and the tibial tubercle below the knee becomes larger and more tender, you should be alert to tibial tubercle epiphysisitis. This condition is generally more common in teenagers who like sports.

5. Knee tuberculosis: If the knee joint shows diffuse swelling, or pain and limited functional activities occur. You should be alert to the possibility of knee tuberculosis. This is part of systemic tuberculosis and is common in young and middle-aged people.
