Where is the most common site for skin cancer?

The incidence of skin cancer is increasing year by year, posing a serious threat to our health. The occurrence of skin cancer is related to autoimmune deficiency, genetics and endocrine system. It often occurs in exposed parts such as the head, face, neck and hands. We must understand it scientifically and pay attention to prevention.

1. The incidence of skin cancer has increased year by year, which is mainly related to the increase in human body's exposure to chemical carcinogens, as well as increased exposure to ultraviolet rays, ionizing radiation, and viruses. Of course, it is also related to the body's own immune deficiency, genetics, and endocrine factors.

2 Skin cancer, also known as skin malignancy. It is mainly divided into basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, malignant melanoma, protuberance of skin sarcoma, etc., as well as rare eczematous carcinoma, verrucous carcinoma, etc., and then there is scar cancer that occurs on the basis of scars. These diseases tend to occur in certain specific parts of the human body.

3. Exposed parts are prone to cancer

Basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma are prone to occur in exposed areas such as the head, face, neck, and hands. Basal cell carcinoma is a malignant tumor of the skin that originates from basal cells. It has a low degree of malignancy and develops slowly.

Squamous cell carcinoma is a malignant tumor originating from the epidermis or its appendages. It is more malignant than basal cell carcinoma and may metastasize to regional lymph nodes. The tumor initially appears as a nodular protrusion or infiltrative erythema that rises outward from the skin surface and grows rapidly. In the early stage, there is often a scab, which may fall off later and form an ulcer with thick exudate on the surface of the ulcer. As the disease progresses, necrotic ulcers quickly develop on the surface of the central part, turning outward into a cauliflower-like shape with a foul odor. Clinically, it can be divided into two types: ulcerative type and papilloma type.

The pathogenesis of these two cancers is still unclear, but it is known to be related to ultraviolet radiation, long-term use of immunosuppressants, long-term use of chemical carcinogens, viruses and chronic stimulation.
