The symptoms of urinary stones are actually these four

Urinary stones are a common urinary system disease in life, which seriously affects people's physical health. Therefore, it is particularly important to understand the symptoms of urinary stones and to achieve early detection and early treatment. In daily life, there are four symptoms of urinary stones, and pain is the first symptom of urinary stones.

1. Symptoms:

1. Pain: Primary urethral stones often grow gradually or are located in the diverticulum, and there may be no pain symptoms in the early stages. Secondary stones are often suddenly embedded in the urethra, often causing sudden urethral pain and pain during urination. The pain may radiate to the glans penis, perineum, or rectum.

2. Difficulty in urination: Stones cause incomplete urethral obstruction, which may result in thinning, bifurcation, and weak urine stream, accompanied by frequent urination, urgency, and dribbling. Secondary urethral stones, due to the sudden embedding of stones into the urethra, often cause sudden interruption of urination, with strong urge to urinate and bladder tenesmus, and often lead to acute urinary retention.

3. Hematuria and urethral secretions Emergency patients often have terminal hematuria or initial hematuria, or a small amount of blood dripping out at the end of urination. Accompanied by severe pain; chronic patients often have mucous or purulent urethra secretions.

4. Urethral tenderness and nodules Most patients can feel nodules and tenderness at the local site of urethral stones. Posterior urethral stones can be felt through rectal digital examination. Multiple stones in the urethral diverticulum may feel sandy and gritty when touched.

Urethral stones in women: Urethral stones in women are less common than in men, which is related to the shorter urethra and fewer bladder stones in women. Female urethral stones are often accompanied by urethral diverticula. Regardless of whether there is stone or not, urethral diverticulum often presents as lower urinary tract infection. Pain during sexual intercourse is another prominent symptom. Symptoms are temporarily relieved when the purulent secretions flow out. Transvaginal examination may reveal a hard mass in the urethral area of the anterior wall. Treatment is surgical excision of the urethral diverticulum and removal of the stone.

2. Diagnostic criteria:

In addition to careful inquiry into the medical history, physical examination is very important for the diagnosis of urethral stones. The main points include the following:

1. In men, stones or nodules can be felt in the penis or perineum and are tender. Stones in the posterior urethra can be felt in the perineum or through the rectum. Even stones located in the navicular fossa and urethral opening can be seen. Female patients can feel stones and diverticula through the vagina.

2. Use a metal probe to examine the urethra. When the probe touches the stone, you can feel a hard object and a friction sound.
