Traditional Chinese medicine in my country has developed extensively and profoundly. Many common diseases can be treated with simple and easy-to-use folk remedies. For example, eczema, a common problem on sensitive skin, is said to be improved by wiping salted egg yolk oil on the skin. So is it really reliable to use salted egg yolk oil to treat eczema, and is there any scientific basis for its effect? 1. Can egg yolk oil cure eczema? Nowadays, there are many diseases treated with egg yolk oil. For example, it can be applied externally to treat eczema, diaper rash, diaper rash, impetigo, mouth sores, thrush, tinea capitis, burns, frostbite, oral ulcers, lip wind, vestibulitis, otitis media, nipple fissures, cervical erosion, ringworm, corns, hemorrhoids, etc. It can be taken internally to treat gastric ulcers, chronic gastritis, pediatric indigestion and diarrhea, whooping cough, etc. Using egg yolk oil to treat diseases has a long history. For example, the Ming Dynasty's "Compendium of Materia Medica" says "Fry chicken eggs to extract oil, mix with powder and apply to head sores." It is also said that "boil oil from chicken egg yolks and apply it to the wound to treat broken cane sores, which is very effective." 2. Other uses of egg yolk oil 1. Baby eczema: Apply to the affected area. Generally, local redness, exudation, itching, etc. will be alleviated or completely cured after medication. 2. Burns: For small-area burns, immediately rinse or soak the affected area with tap water for more than 30 minutes to minimize the pain and skin redness and swelling. Then clean the wound with saline and apply egg yolk oil 1 to 2 times a day. After applying the oil, the affected area will feel cool and the pain will be relieved. 3. Chilblains: Mix egg yolk oil with a little borneol, wash the affected area with saline and apply the oil, 3 times a day. 4. Oral ulcers: Clean the affected area with a cotton swab dipped in saline, then apply egg yolk oil, 2 to 3 times a day. 5. Vestibulitis: Symptoms include dryness of the mucosa in the front of the nose, purulent crusts, and occasional dry pain. Remove the purulent crusts, then apply egg yolk oil to the affected area with a cotton swab, once in the morning and once in the evening. 6. Simple indigestion diarrhea in children: Children under 1 year old should take 1-1.5 ml each time, and children over 1 year old should take 2 ml each time, once in the morning and once in the evening. Improvement will be seen after taking it for 2 consecutive days. 7. Gastric ulcer, chronic gastritis: Take 1 tablespoon of egg yolk oil with warm water 15 to 20 minutes before meals. Generally, symptoms can be improved after taking it for about 15 days. 3. Production of Egg Oil Boil 5 eggs. After they are cooked, peel the 5 egg yolks and put them directly into a stainless steel pot and fry them over low heat for about half an hour until they are charred. Squeeze out the egg yolk while frying. After cooling, put them into a small glass bottle for later use. When using, use a cotton swab dipped in a small amount of egg yolk oil and apply it to the eczema area on the skin, 3-5 times a day, until the eczema subsides. It is usually used for 5-7 days. |
