What happens if you wear wet shoes

What happens if you wear wet shoes

Many bacteria like to grow in a humid environment. When there is sufficient sunlight, most of the bacteria can be killed, so we often dry our quilts in the sun. Of course, the clothes we wear cannot be wet, and the shoes we wear cannot be wet either. But what happens if you wear wet shoes? If your shoes get wet accidentally on a rainy day, there is no problem as long as you wear them for a short time. However, if you wear wet shoes for too long, your feet will be affected.

1. The body is cold

Wearing wet shoes will not cause edema of the feet, but the feet will be in a relatively damp state, which will cause the soles of the feet to catch cold. The body may feel uncomfortable and may suffer from diarrhea after catching cold. Severe cases may also cause joint pain. Clinically, rheumatoid arthritis is mainly treated by eliminating streptococcal infection. These symptoms may recur and affect the heart. If rheumatic activity affects the heart, myocarditis may occur and even residual heart valve disease may occur. If you are a girl, it is even more inappropriate to wear wet shoes, which is very bad for your health.

2. Breeding of bacteria

Humid conditions are the environment where bacteria are most likely to grow, so if you wear wet shoes, some bacteria will multiply rapidly in them. If your feet are in such an environment for a long time, you may suffer from skin diseases and some other diseases, so it is best to change wet shoes as soon as possible, wipe the wet shoes dry or wash and dry them before wearing them.

3. Athlete’s foot

Wearing wet shoes can easily cause foot odor and may lead to athlete's foot. In a humid environment, the air is not circulated and pathogenic fungi can cause skin diseases on the feet, resulting in athlete's foot. To prevent athlete's foot, you need to keep your feet clean, change shoes and socks frequently, wear less non-breathable sports shoes and skateboard shoes, and eat less food that easily causes sweating. Athlete's foot is also contagious, so you should not scratch it with your hands to avoid further infection. So it’s best not to wear wet shoes. If your shoes get wet on rainy days, change them as soon as possible!
