What to do if the towel becomes hard? Here are some tips for you

Towels are something we use very frequently and are in direct contact with our skin, so they should be washed frequently in daily life. If they are not washed frequently, a large number of bacteria will remain on them, which may cause infection. The reason why the towels we use every day become hard is because of the dirt remaining on them. We can use the method of boiling salt in water, or we can soak them in white vinegar. The ratio of vinegar and water should be matched well. At this time, just soaking for 5 minutes can solve this problem.

Solution 1: Boil salt in water: Put the towel in a basin, add two spoons of salt and boil for more than 10 minutes, then wash it repeatedly with clean water several times until the water is clear, and dry it (exposure to the sun for free). It sounds simple.

Solution 2: White vinegar soaking method: Mix warm water and white vinegar in a ratio of 6:1, and soak the towel for about 30 minutes. It is best to use vinegar essence. Put the vinegar essence in a 1:4 solution, not too much water, just enough to cover the towel. Soak for 5 minutes, then scrub and rinse with clean water.

Towel care

After using the towel for a period of time, it will become very hard and rough, not as soft as it was at the beginning. How can we keep the towel soft?

1. Pour the rice washing water (first and second time) into the pot, put the towel in to boil, and cook for a while after boiling. After doing this, the towel will become whiter, softer, thicker than before, and have a light rice fragrance.

2. Put the towel in hot water with detergent, boil or scald it for 5 minutes, then wash it while it is hot.

3. Wash towels frequently and boil them with soap, laundry detergent or alkaline solution for a few minutes every once in a while to prevent them from becoming hard. When boiling, the towel should be completely immersed in water to avoid oxidation when in contact with air, which will reduce its softness.

Towel disinfection

In daily life, if you do not pay attention to the hygiene of towels, they will often be contaminated with many pathogenic microorganisms, such as Chlamydia trachomatis, Staphylococcus aureus, gonococci and molds. Therefore, they should be disinfected frequently. There are several methods of disinfection:

Steaming disinfection method: Boil the towel in boiling water for about 10 minutes, then wash it with soapy water, and then use it after drying.

Microwave disinfection method: Wash the towel clean, fold it and put it in the microwave, and run it at high temperature for 5 minutes to achieve the purpose of disinfection.
