What causes neurodermatitis?

Neurodermatitis is actually a common skin problem caused by mental factors. For example, excessive mental stress, anxiety, gastrointestinal dysfunction, and local irritation may cause such adverse symptoms.

Causes of neurodermatitis:

1. Mental factors. It is currently believed to be the main cause. Emotional fluctuations, excessive mental stress, anxiety, sudden changes in living environment, etc. can all aggravate the disease and cause it to recur.

2. Gastrointestinal dysfunction, endocrine system dysfunction, and sensitization caused by chronic lesions in the body may also be pathogenic factors.

3. Local irritation: Friction caused by a hard collar, chemical stimulation, insect bites, sunlight exposure, alcohol stimulation, scratching, etc. can all induce the occurrence of this disease.

4. Mental factors, environmental changes, contact with allergens, due to low immunity, the release of histamine in the body, the production of histamine

Symptoms of neurodermatitis II:

1. Lichenoid lesions. The skin lesions are millet-sized to mung bean-sized flat papules in the early stage, which become densely packed into patches and then become lichenified plaques with obvious thickening of the skin ridges.

The lesions are of normal skin color or light red or light brown, sometimes with a little scale on the surface, with clear boundaries and obvious scratches and blood scabs.

2. Itching. The affected area has paroxysmal itching, especially at night, which can affect sleep.

3. Predisposing areas. Localized neurodermatitis often occurs on the hands, neck, extensor side of the elbows and knees, sacrum and coccyx, eyelids, calves and extensor side of the forearms. Disseminated neurodermatitis can spread throughout the body.
