Is there any difference between exfoliation and peeling?

In terms of skin care, we usually advocate regular exfoliation and removal of dead skin. Exfoliation occurs in aging skin, especially dry and sensitive skin, while dead skin mainly refers to the growth of skin tissue, which is keratinized and then formed in the epidermis.

1. Keratinosis occurs in aging skin, with white, scaly flakes forming. It occurs in dry or sensitive skin, with itchy, hardened keratin. This is often seen in cases of skin disease. Keratin can cause skin diseases because areas where keratin accumulates thickly will affect the secretion of skin oil, preventing the oil from being smoothly discharged from the hair follicles. At this time, if we remove the dead skin that is not shed normally, it will promote skin metabolism and make the skin transparent and fresh.

2. Human skin is divided into three layers: epidermis, dermis and subcutaneous tissue. From the beginning of the growth of skin tissue to the keratinization of the epidermis and the formation of dead skin, this cycle takes about 28 days. If dead skin is not shed, new skin will not grow easily, and the breathing of the skin and the secretion of sebaceous glands will be hindered.

3. Exfoliation secret 1: Scrub is effective

If your stratum corneum is very thick and your pores are very large, it is better to use a scrub to exfoliate. However, it is best to decide which product to use for exfoliation based on your skin condition.

◎ For scrub, I recommend DHC, which has no foam and no detergent, it is just a scrub

◎ Exfoliation secret 2: Gel and enzymes are gentle

However, if your skin is sensitive and easily breaks, it means that your skin is relatively delicate. Using abrasive exfoliants can easily lead to the opposite effect and easily accumulate melanin. It is recommended that you use an enzyme mask gel to apply to your face for gentle exfoliation.

◎ Exfoliation Tip 3: Gently remove the dead skin from the corners of the mouth and nose

Some people tend to accumulate melanin on the wings of their nose and corners of their mouth, which means that these areas of your skin are actually very sensitive. If you rub it hard because it is black, it will become even darker. The best way to remove dead skin cells from these parts is to apply a facial mask!
