2. Methods: Low doses of tranexamic acid were taken orally for a long time in 256 patients with chloasma. The duration of medication ranged from 6 to 15 months, with an average of 9.6 months. 3. 256 patients were followed up for 3 to 5 months after treatment, and 80.9% of the patients showed varying degrees of pigmentation reduction. In 65.0% of the patients, the spots began to lighten 2 months after taking the medicine, and in 35.0% of the patients, the effects were seen 1 month after taking the medicine. After taking the medicine for 6 months, 10.5%, 18.8% and 51.6% of the patients were basically cured, significantly relieved and improved respectively. Twenty-one cases (8.2%) relapsed after drug discontinuation. Except for mild gastrointestinal reactions in 11 patients (4.3%) and decreased menstrual volume in 9 patients (3.5%), no other obvious adverse reactions were found.
