How should renal encephalopathy be treated?

Renal encephalopathy is actually a chronic renal failure disease caused by chronic glomerulonephritis, chronic pyelonephritis, etc. Therefore, for patients, reasonable and healthy treatment is the fundamental way to help themselves reduce the damage of this disease. You can refer to the Chinese medicine treatment methods introduced below.

1. Rhubarb: Take rhubarb alone orally, 3g of rhubarb powder or 4ml of raw rhubarb infusion per day, 3 times a day, for 20 days as a course of treatment; rhubarb injection is given by intravenous drip, 100-200ml of 50% rhubarb injection is added with 250-300ml of 10% glucose injection for intravenous drip, once a day, for 7-14 days as a course of treatment; raw rhubarb decoction is retained for enema. The main mechanism of rhubarb treatment is that it can reduce the amino acid, one of the raw materials for synthesizing urea, absorbed from the intestines, thereby reducing the amount of urea synthesized by the liver and kidney tissues; secondly, rhubarb inhibits the decomposition of body protein, thereby allowing urea nitrogen and creatinine in the blood to be excreted from the body with urine; in addition, rhubarb has the effect of promoting the production of platelets in the bone marrow, can improve the fragility of capillaries, and act as a diuretic to promote the excretion of metabolic products.

2. Taking 4.5-5g of Cordyceps sinensis daily, decocted into a soup and taken with the residue, or Zhiling Capsules (artificial Cordyceps mycelium), can significantly increase plasma protein content, improve anemia and nutritional status, promote the repair and regeneration of renal tubular epithelial cells, improve renal function, regulate cellular immunity, enhance the body's immune function, and prevent secondary infection.

3. 160mg of Chuanxiong and Chuanxiongqin is added to 200-300ral of 5% glucose injection and intravenously dripped. One course of treatment is 3-4 weeks. The mechanism may be that ligustrazine has the effects of anti-platelet aggregation, antispasmodic, increasing renal flow, improving creatinine clearance, reducing BUN, and restoring renal function.

4. Add 16 ml of Danshen compound Danshen injection to 200-300 ml of 5% glucose injection and drip intravenously once a day. After 20 days, the failing renal function can be improved. Salvia miltiorrhiza has the functions of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, as well as nourishing blood. It can improve blood supply to the kidneys and reduce kidney damage.

5. Astragalus has a good effect of replenishing qi and raising yang, can enhance cellular immunity and humoral immunity, increase the body's resistance and the phagocytic function of the reticuloendothelial system, increase the protein synthesis rate, reduce creatinine levels, and improve renal function.
