It is best to take a bath every few days, this is healthy

People take a bath frequently, which can help remove the dirt in the sweat and eliminate tired skin, which is very helpful to the human body. However, people need to pay attention to many things when taking a bath. Taking a bath too frequently may be bad for the sebaceous glands, and not taking a bath often will affect health. So how many days is the best time to take a bath?

1. How many times a week should you take a bath?

In summer, the human body secretes a lot and sweats a lot, so it should be washed once a day. The weather is not hot in winter, spring and autumn, so the number of times a bath is taken may vary from person to person. People who are overweight or have active sebaceous glands can take more baths. The sebaceous glands of the elderly secrete less, so they can reduce the frequency of bathing appropriately.

2. What is the most suitable bath water temperature?

The temperature of bath water should be close to body temperature, that is, 35-37℃. If the water temperature is too high, it will cause the blood vessels in the epidermis of the whole body to dilate, reduce blood flow to the heart and brain, and cause hypoxia. Pregnant women should be careful not to use too high a water temperature when bathing to prevent fetal hypoxia and affect fetal development. Take cold showers in moderation in summer. Bathing water that is too cold will cause the skin pores to suddenly close, the blood vessels to suddenly contract, and the heat in the body to be unable to dissipate. Especially on hot nights, taking a cold shower often makes people feel weak in the limbs, sore shoulders and knees, and abdominal pain, and can even be a triggering factor for arthritis and chronic gastrointestinal diseases. Generally speaking, the water temperature for taking a cold shower in summer should not be lower than 10℃.

3. What is the most appropriate bathing time?

Regardless of spring, summer, autumn or winter, bathing time should not be too long. Each bath should last for 15 to 30 minutes to prevent hypoxia and ischemia of the heart and brain.

In daily life, people use four kinds of soaps: hard soap, which contains a lot of alkali, like laundry soap; soft soap, which contains less than 25% alkali, like various soaps; superfat soap, which does not contain alkali; and medicated soap.
