What kind of people are prone to altitude sickness?

In fact, everyone's symptoms of altitude sickness are different, mainly because of different physical conditions, so the reactions are also different. Usually, obese people have a higher chance of suffering from altitude sickness than thin people because their oxygen consumption is relatively high.

1. It varies from person to person and it is hard to know before reaching the plateau. People with weak bodies may not necessarily have a strong reaction, and people with strong bodies may not necessarily have no reaction. Each person's reaction is different.

2. Generally speaking, thin people are better than fat people, ladies are better than men, short people are better than tall people, and young people are better than old people. The following groups of people are prone to altitude sickness:

(1) Since obese people consume more oxygen, they are more likely to suffer from altitude sickness than thinner people.

(2) People who normally have low blood pressure are more likely to experience altitude sickness.

(3) People with low blood sugar are more likely to suffer from altitude sickness.

(4) The elderly are more susceptible to altitude sickness.

(5) People with sub-health are more likely to suffer from altitude sickness.

3. If you have never been to the plateau, you must undergo a strict physical examination before entering the plateau. If you find any lesions in the heart, lungs, brain, liver, or kidneys, or severe anemia or hypertension, please do not enter the plateau blindly. If you only have a common illness, you must take necessary precautions in advance, such as carrying oxygen with you.

4. Not everyone who climbs a plateau will experience altitude sickness. It is worth noting that people who do not experience altitude sickness this time may not necessarily not have it the next time they climb a plateau. Moreover, altitude sickness cannot be overcome through repeated exercise.
