What are the effects of bad emotions

At some point, some people tend to suffer from a bad mood. However, you need to know that human health is closely related to body and mood. The two are interdependent. If the emotions are abnormal, the body will also be affected.

1. Negative emotions and cancer

A large number of studies at home and abroad have shown that long-term repressed and dissatisfied emotions, such as depression, sadness, fear, anger, etc., can easily induce cancer. The sudden death of a loved one or the sudden loss of security can also be a contributing factor to cancer.

2. Negative emotions and hypertension

Blood pressure is extremely sensitive to changes in mood. Changes in emotional state can cause changes in blood pressure and heart rate. Emotions such as anger, hatred, anxiety, fear, and depression can increase blood pressure, especially anger, anxiety, and hatred, which are most closely related to blood pressure. Some even believe that suppressed hostility may be an important cause of high blood pressure. Based on a study of 232 patients with hypertension, Chinese psychologists found that 58.7% of them had characteristics of impatience, anger and excessive demands before the onset of the disease. If you are under long-term and repeated excessive stress, or are in a state of intense emotional excitement, you are likely to develop hypertension. For example, firefighters are more likely to suffer from high blood pressure. Among medical students, the prevalence of hypertension in the graduating class is three times that of junior students.

3. Negative emotions and heart disease

The heart and blood vessels are most sensitive to emotions. Repeated and persistent negative emotions are the main factors leading to cardiovascular diseases. People who are anxious, fearful, angry, or sad have a higher incidence or recurrence rate of coronary heart disease. Many studies have found that people with high anxiety have twice the incidence of angina as those with low anxiety. The incidence of myocardial infarction is also significantly increased in people with anxiety and depression. Anger, anxiety, panic and other sudden changes in emotions can easily lead to sudden death (sudden death). Many patients with coronary heart disease suffer from angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, or even death due to the stimulation of negative emotions.
