Dizziness when wearing contact lenses

Dizziness when wearing contact lenses

Vision problems are very common in modern life. Almost more than half of teenagers suffer from myopia, which seriously damages their vision. Many people solve vision problems by wearing glasses or contact lenses. Among them, wearing contact lenses is the most popular method in modern life. But why do some people feel dizzy when wearing contact lenses?

1. Intraocular pressure is too high. If your degree is above 300, you should choose contact lenses with a degree 20-50 lower. If the degree is particularly high, over 800 or 700, you should lower it by 100. Otherwise, high intraocular pressure may cause dizziness. It's just like when you're getting glasses, the doctor will always ask you to wear that thing that looks like a funhouse mirror with lenses inserted in it and walk around to get used to it so you don't feel dizzy. Normally, contact lenses are usually of a lower degree. A low degree of 25 degrees is appropriate.

2. Lack of oxygen in the eyes. This is the main cause of dizziness. Contact lenses made of ordinary materials are thicker, especially low-quality contact lenses. The lenses are thicker and have lower oxygen permeability, which can cause eye fatigue, eye hypoxia, and dizziness. Some glasses with high water content may cause dry and sore eyes. When you take them off, you will find that your eyes are full of red bloodshot, which is scary. Especially don’t wear them when taking a nap! Therefore, it is recommended to buy contact lenses with high oxygen permeability, mainly made of silicone hydrogel, and with a short disposal period.

3. The lenses are not cleaned regularly. If there is too much protein on the lenses and they are not cleaned, your vision will be blurred when you wear them, and the degree will seem inaccurate, etc. In severe cases, the lenses may slip. This condition can also cause dizziness. Cleaning your lenses regularly will extend their life, provide clearer vision, and most importantly, keep them hygienic.

Countermeasures:

1. Check whether your contact lenses are worn upside down. Replace the care solution and put them on again to check whether your eyes are sore because you wear them wrong.

2. There is a flash in your eyes, and it is severe. Ordinary contact lenses do not have a flash degree. If you have a flash degree, they will add your flash degree to the myopia degree, which will cause your eyes to be unable to adapt to the visual effects that are higher than the original degree.

3. When you first start wearing contact lenses, you should do it gradually, starting with two hours a day and increasing day by day. You should wear them for a maximum of eight hours a day, and never more than ten hours!

4. During daily care, the care solution should be changed frequently, and the contact lens case should be sterilized at least once a week, that is, it should be washed in boiling water once. It is best not to wear it with your hands, and the contact lens sticks should also be sterilized and dust-proof.
