What are the symptoms of superficial gastritis

Superficial gastritis is also a type of stomach disease. Many patients are affected by it in life, and often show symptoms such as upper abdominal pain, bloating, belching, etc. It is recommended that patients should pay attention to developing good eating and living habits and avoid smoking and drinking.

1. The most common symptom is upper abdominal pain, accounting for about 85%. The upper abdominal pain in patients with superficial gastritis is mostly irregular and has nothing to do with diet (some patients feel comfortable on an empty stomach but uncomfortable after meals). It is generally a chronic burning pain, dull pain, or bloating in the upper abdomen. Symptoms are often aggravated by eating cold, hard, spicy or other irritating foods, and in a few cases are related to climate changes. This type of upper abdominal pain is not easily relieved by antispasmodics and antacids.

2. Abdominal distension, accounting for 70%. It is often caused by gastric retention, delayed emptying, and indigestion.

3. Belching. About 50% of patients have this symptom. The gas in the patient's stomach increases and is discharged through the esophagus, which temporarily relieves the upper abdominal distension.

4. Pay attention to diet and lifestyle

Correct bad eating habits, avoid foods that irritate the stomach, the food should be soft and easy to digest, avoid foods that are too rough, too strong in spices, and too hot or too cold. It is best not to drink beer or eat spicy and greasy food. You should also develop the habit of chewing slowly to make it easier to digest and reduce stomach irritation, and eat less salted, smoked, and stale food.

5. Avoid irritation

Do not use or use as little as possible drugs that are highly irritating to the stomach, and do not take antipyretic analgesics, anti-rheumatic drugs, or hormone drugs easily. Quit drinking and smoking.

6. Spiritual and psychological conditioning

Emotions are one of the factors that affect stomach problems. If you are under long-term mental stress and depression, and are often affected by negative emotions such as sorrow, sadness, anxiety, and anger, and your own psychological endurance is not strong, it is easy to cause autonomic nervous system dysfunction, which can lead to ischemia of the gastrointestinal mucosa, motility and secretion disorders, and gastrointestinal diseases.
