Although the installation units of floor heating install filters or fill pure water at the source to avoid the generation of pipe dirt, the formation of water rust and biological slime in the pipe cannot be prevented. For every millimeter increase in the thickness of the inner wall of the floor heating pipe, the room temperature will drop by 6°C. The medium of geothermal heating is water, and heating relies on absorbing the temperature in the water to store heat and radiate heat to the environment.

Minerals, calcium and magnesium ions are one of the components of water. Changes in the supply and return water temperatures will produce calcium and magnesium ion scale attached to the inner wall of the pipe. In addition, biological sludge, impurities, scale, rust, pollutants, and other impurities in the external network pipes of the central heating system enter each household and accumulate in the geothermal pipes, which is another major factor causing scaling on the inner wall of the floor heating pipes.

The intervention of impurities and dirt will increase the resistance of water. Simply cleaning the filter is far from enough. Therefore, if the floor heating pipes are not cleaned regularly, there is no way to talk about the advantage of energy saving. In mild cases, the floor heating efficiency will be reduced. In severe cases, it will cause pipe embolism and loss of heating function, and even cause damage to the ground, dismantling or replacing the geothermal pipe system, causing property losses to floor heating users.

In addition, at the beginning of the heating period every year, the air in the pipes will enter the geothermal pipes, forming air plugs, affecting the water circulation and causing the water to not heat up. Therefore, venting must be performed. This method can not only release the air in the geothermal pipes, but also clean up the impurities, sediments, and flocculent materials in the geothermal pipes. Doing this once a year during the heating period can prevent the geothermal pipes from getting clogged.

Generally, the pipe scale we refer to is floor heating or radiator. If the heating pipe is blocked, the filter will also be blocked and a lot of scale will be produced in the pipe. We need to use some very simple methods to clean it, but before washing, it is recommended that you first cut off the water source to avoid causing the filter to loosen when opening it again, causing water to flow out.
