Step 3: Unscrew the nut of the cold water outlet of the water heater, connect a hose to drain the water outward until all the water in the water tank is drained, as long as no water flows out of the cold water outlet of the water tank.

Step 4: Then remove the hose connected to the cold water outlet, connect the pipe to the hot water outlet of the water heater, connect it to the faucet and start filling it with water.

Step 5: Block the cold water outlet, let the water flowing in from the faucet stay in the inner tank for a while, open the cold water outlet to drain the water, repeat several times until the discharged water is clean.

Step 6: After completing the above steps, the scale can be basically cleaned simply. Then screw on the nuts of the cold water inlet and the hot water inlet, open the triangle valve, turn on the water heater faucet, and close it after the water flows out.

Note: In order to better maintain and extend the life of the electric water heater, the water heater at home should be deep cleaned every 3 years. Since deep cleaning is more complicated, you can find a professional maintenance personnel to clean it.
