How to treat tick bites

How to treat tick bites

Health status not only refers to the impact of some physical diseases, but also some mosquitoes, or other animal bites and so on. If you don't take precautions, these situations are more likely to occur. After such a situation occurs, if treatment and control are not timely, it may cause more serious damage to the body. So how do you treat a tick bite? Let us introduce it to you below.

It is best to go to the hospital to remove the tick bite

1. If you find it, do not remove it by yourself, go to the hospital to remove it immediately. (The doctor will disinfect the area around the wound, inject anesthesia to numb the tick, and then use a tweezer to easily remove the tick after it is completely anesthetized.)

2. When a tick drills its head into the skin, it has barbs on its head that will become tighter and tighter as it is pulled. If you remove it by yourself, it is easy for the head to remain in the skin and continue to infect. It would be extremely troublesome to go to the hospital to remove the head.

3. When bitten by an insect, you cannot kill the insect immediately. Instead, you should blow it away, otherwise the toxin will be more severe.

Tick sting prevention and treatment

1. When you find a tick resting on your skin, do not pull it hard to avoid secondary skin damage caused by tearing tissue or breaking the mouthparts. You can apply chloroform, ether, kerosene, turpentine or dry tobacco on the tick's head and wait for the tick to fall off the skin naturally.

2. Disinfect the wound. If the mouthparts are broken into the skin, they should be removed surgically.

3. The wound is sealed with 0.5% procaine.

4. Antihistamines and corticosteroids can be given when systemic poisoning symptoms occur. When tick bite fever and tick paralysis are discovered, in addition to supportive therapy, appropriate symptomatic treatment and timely rescue should be given.

The treatment of tick bites must be carried out according to the methods described above, so that better treatment results can be achieved. If the above methods are not followed, the treatment effect may not be ideal. While treating the disease, you should also avoid being bitten again, as this will greatly affect the treatment effect.
