How to remove mildew spots on clothes more easily

If clothes are not worn for a long time and are not properly maintained, they will become moldy. If the mold is severe, the clothes may be damaged. The weather becoming damp and the different materials of clothing can make it easier for clothes to get moldy. Once there are mold spots on clothes, it will be difficult to clean them. So how can we remove mildew spots on clothes more easily? Let’s talk about it below.

Remove musty odors from clothes

When you smell a musty odor from the clothes in the closet, you can add two spoons of white vinegar and half a bag of milk to the clean water in the washing tub. Soak the clothes in this specially formulated laundry water for 10 minutes to allow the vinegar and milk to absorb the musty odor on the clothes. Then rinse them up, wash them down, rub them left and right, and finally rinse them with clean water, and the musty smell will be gone.

If you are in a hurry to go out and don't have time to use this method to remove the musty smell, you can also try using a hair dryer to remove the musty smell:

Hang up the clothes, set the hair dryer to cold wind mode, blow at the clothes for 10 to 15 minutes, let the strong wind take away the musty smell of the clothes, and then you can wear it and go out with confidence.

Wipe mildew off clothes

What is more terrible than the musty smell is the mildew spots! A good white shirt turned into a spotted outfit overnight. If you wear it out, people will definitely laugh at you. Don't worry, the method of removing mold is actually very simple.

Soak the moldy clothes in rice washing water overnight to allow the remaining protein to absorb the mold. The next day, the color of the rice water became darker and a lot of the mold stains had been removed. For areas where mildew is still stubborn, you can apply some 5% alcohol solution, or scrub repeatedly with hot soapy water several times, and then just scrub as usual, and the mildew can be completely removed.

When cleaning mildew spots on clothes, you must be careful to first look at the material of the clothes, and then choose appropriate cleaning products to clean them. If the clothes are made of more delicate materials, such as silk, you need to use special laundry detergent to wash them. In addition, when storing clothes, you should pay attention to preventing mildew and prevent mold from occurring.
