Is non-stick pan harmful to human body

With the progress of society, people's living standards are also improving. Especially in daily cooking, the kitchen utensils we use are becoming more and more advanced. Many people now use non-stick pans at home. The main feature is that there will be no sticking when cooking. This also makes many friends worry. Are non-stick pans harmful to the human body? To solve this problem, we will introduce it through the following introduction.

The material of non-stick pans is polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), which is now known as Teflon. Polytetrafluoroethylene has very stable physical and chemical properties at room temperature and under normal conditions. However, considering that cookware is used in high temperature environments, its safety under high temperature is the focus of our attention. Cookware with Teflon non-stick coating will not change at any temperature range from room temperature to 260°C (550°F), but when the temperature exceeds 260°C, the coating gradually becomes unstable and decomposes when the temperature exceeds 350°C (660°F).

In daily cooking methods, stir-frying at a higher temperature usually only reaches a temperature of around 200°C. Even when frying, the oil temperature generally does not exceed 250°C. Therefore, in normal cooking, there is no need to worry about the coating decomposing and releasing harmful substances. Moreover, the smoke point of common cooking oils is mostly between 200℃ and 250℃. If the pot is really heated to a temperature high enough to decompose the coating, the first thing to consider is that the decomposition of the oil will produce harmful substances. Such eating habits are naturally unhealthy.

Through the above introduction, we know that non-stick pans are not harmful to the human body. We can use them with confidence when cooking or frying. Especially for the current saying that non-stick pans are harmful to the human body, it is incorrect. We must use a scientific method to look at everything around us.
