How to treat a cut on your finger

It is easy for fingers to be scratched or cut by knives, glass, iron objects, etc. in daily life. If you do not take it seriously or handle it improperly, the wound may worsen, causing inflammation and pain in mild cases and serious illness in severe cases.

(1) If the wound is not too big or too deep, there is not much bleeding, and the wound is clean, you can use alcohol to disinfect the area around the wound. Do not get the disinfectant into the wound. After it dries, cover it with a sterile gauze or apply a Band-Aid.

(2) For dirty wounds, first disinfect the surrounding skin with iodine, then disinfect it twice with alcohol, and then rinse the wound with cold boiled water with a small amount of salt. While rinsing, gently wipe the wound with cotton wool to remove dirt and other foreign matter. Finally, disinfect the skin around the wound again and cover it with gauze.

(3) If the wound has neat and clean edges, is less than 2 cm in length and less than 1 cm in depth, or if it is not clean but has been disinfected, within 8 hours of the injury, you can use a Band-Aid or hemostatic and anti-inflammatory patch to close the wound and promote its healing.

(4) If there is no Band-Aid, you can also cover the wound with adhesive tape. But the wound should not come into direct contact with the adhesive tape. The wound can be coated with anti-inflammatory dressings or lined with a small piece of sterile gauze.

After reading the editor's description, I believe you already know how to take care of your wounds and how to stop bleeding without Band-Aids, right? In fact, how to stop bleeding is common knowledge in our lives. If you didn’t know it before, you might as well learn it now. At the same time, it is best to keep some Band-Aids at home.
