How to increase the time of holding breath in water

Now it is early autumn in many cities. Coastal cities attract many people because of their golden beaches, blue skies and charming seas. Some of these people not only like swimming, but also like to compete with three or five friends in holding their breath underwater. Many people want to hold their breath underwater for a longer time, but they don’t know how. How to increase the time you can hold your breath underwater?

Many people like swimming. Swimming can not only relax the body and mind and exercise the body, but also relieve us from stress. Swimming involves diving, and diving involves holding your breath. The length of holding your breath is the length of time you are isolated from the air in the water. Most people hold their breath for 10-20 seconds, and some people can hold their breath for more than 30 seconds. How to hold your breath in the water for a long time is very beneficial for diving. I personally suggest that you learn to hold your breath before learning to swim to reduce the fear of drowning. Let me share my experience of learning to hold your breath!

Take a breath (the more the better), hold it in your chest, and exhale slowly in the water. Exhale as little as possible to make sure you can hold your breath for the ideal time. Master the technique, people with large lung capacity can hold their breath for about 2 minutes (I can't, my lung capacity is less than 3500)

Holding your breath underwater frequently will gradually increase your lung capacity, so you can stay underwater longer and swim far without holding your breath for too long. This requires the skill to do so. Exhale early underwater and inhale above water, just like breathing on the road. Before learning to swim you must first be familiar with the water. When the water level is waist-high, do squats with your head immersed in water, while exhaling early underwater and inhaling above water.

Warm reminder: In fact, if you want to increase the time you can hold your breath in water, it is not something that can be achieved overnight. It is recommended that if someone has this need, then they need to practice repeatedly. And when you want to swim, it is recommended to go to the sea, or it is better to swim in a regular swimming pool. It is also a cleaner and more sanitary approach.
