Is aplastic anemia hereditary?

Is aplastic anemia hereditary?

The number of patients with aplastic anemia is now increasing in a straight line, and more and more young people are suffering from this disease, and the proportion of children suffering from this disease is also increasing. According to current medical technology, the treatment of this type of disease is still very difficult. Many parents are worried that this type of disease is hereditary. So, is aplastic anemia hereditary?

1. Ionizing radiation: X-rays, gamma rays or neutrons can pass through or enter cells to directly damage hematopoietic stem cells and the bone marrow microenvironment. Long-term radiation exposure exceeding the allowable amount (such as radiation source accidents) can cause aplastic anemia.

2. Drugs and chemical substances: These substances can be divided into two categories according to their effects: one category is related to the dose of the poison. As long as the dose is large, anyone can develop bone marrow aplasia; the other category can occasionally cause aplastic anemia in some people when exposed to therapeutic doses or general doses.

3. Viral infection: Various types of hepatitis viruses, Epstein-Barr virus, rubella virus, herpes zoster virus, dengue virus, influenza virus, human immunodeficiency virus, human T-lymphocytic leukemia virus, etc. have been reported to damage bone marrow hematopoiesis, causing aplastic anemia or suppressed bone marrow hematopoiesis.

4. Immune factors: Aplastic anemia can be secondary to thymoma, systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. Antibodies that inhibit hematopoietic stem cells can be found in the serum of patients. Some cases of unexplained aplastic anemia may also have immune factors.

Note:

1. The earlier the treatment, the better the effect. big

2. Adherence to treatment is beneficial to survival.

3. Choose a combination of Chinese and Western medicine for treatment.

From the above introduction, we can understand that aplastic anemia is not hereditary, so patients do not have to worry about passing it on to their children. In daily life, parents need to pay more attention to staying away from these diseases and reduce the chance of getting sick as much as possible. This is something that must be paid attention to.
