How to treat gallbladder polyps?

The clinical manifestations of gallbladder polyps are abdominal pain, vomiting, abdominal pain, etc., but some patients do not have any symptoms and can only be detected during examinations in the hospital. Many patients will feel discomfort in their stomachs and shoulders and will feel pain. Gallbladder polyps are not a serious disease, but they must be treated in a timely manner. So, how should gallbladder polyps be treated?

Adhere to a low-cholesterol, low-fat diet. Excessive cholesterol intake will not only increase the burden on the patient's liver, but also cause excess cholesterol to crystallize, accumulate and precipitate on the gallbladder wall, thereby forming gallbladder polyps. Therefore, patients should reduce their cholesterol intake. Especially for dinner, high-cholesterol foods should not be eaten. Such as eggs, animal offal, scaleless fish, etc.

Eat regularly: Have a good breakfast. Bile in the gallbladder has the function of digesting food. If the patient has an irregular diet, especially if he skips breakfast, the bile secreted by the gallbladder cannot be utilized, causing the bile to stay in the gallbladder for too long, thereby stimulating the gallbladder to form gallbladder polyps or causing the original polyps to enlarge or increase in number.

3. Maintain a healthy lifestyle: Patients should overcome unhealthy living habits, abstain from smoking, drinking and alcoholic beverages, avoid staying up late, maintain a good mental state, and regularly participate in physical exercises to strengthen their physical fitness and enhance their body's disease resistance. If necessary, you can also take hawthorn, chrysanthemum, cassia seed, etc. to make medicinal tea and drink it regularly to achieve the purpose of lowering cholesterol.

(1) Eat less high-fat and high-cholesterol foods and eat more foods rich in vitamin A, such as carrots, tomatoes, etc. Vitamin A can reduce the formation of cholesterol crystals. (2) Increase the frequency of meals to stimulate bile secretion and reduce bile stagnation and concentration in the gallbladder. (3) Maintain an optimistic attitude towards life and don’t be too stressed.

If the gallbladder polyp is very small and the patient does not feel any discomfort, surgery is not required. Just pay more attention to your daily diet and sleep. However, if the symptoms mentioned at the beginning of the article appear and the diameter of the polyp is too large, it may cause lesions and may become cancer, so timely treatment is needed, and surgical removal is the best method. Go to the hospital for more frequent checkups to prevent disease.
