What is hyperbaric oxygen therapy

Nowadays, there is a treatment in medicine called hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The emergence of this treatment has enabled many patients to receive good medical treatment and greatly increased the possibility of recovery. However, many people still have many doubts about hyperbaric oxygen therapy, especially about what happens after the treatment. Is it the same as treating ordinary diseases? Regarding this question, an answer is given on how to pay attention to things after treatment.

1. Hyperbaric oxygen is not a fixed mode: due to different pressures and oxygen concentrations, the treatment effects are different; different diseases may choose different treatment pressures and oxygen inhalation methods.

2. It is rare to use hyperbaric oxygen alone to treat diseases: Currently, from the perspective of oxygen supply, hyperbaric oxygen is the most economical, most reliable and safest way of oxygen supply and cannot be replaced by any other method. Despite this, hyperbaric oxygen must be combined with different drugs according to different diseases to achieve better therapeutic effects.

3. Every disease has its best treatment time: When to start treatment for each disease is very critical. During the best treatment time, the effect is better. If it is far away from the best treatment time, the effect will be reduced. For example, hyperbaric oxygen combined with other drugs is very effective in the treatment of emergency and/or early-stage sudden deafness and facial paralysis, but if the patient comes for treatment months or years later, the efficacy can be imagined...

4. Choose different treatment schedules according to different diseases: How long each disease is treated depends on the nature of the disease and the individual differences of the patients. For common limb injuries, the survival of hypoxic and ischemic tissues can usually be seen in about two weeks. For cardiovascular diseases such as coronary heart disease, patients will find that the discomfort in the precordial area has decreased and alleviated, and they need less medication in about a month. However, for diseases of the nervous system, such as brain injury, it may take several weeks for mild patients and several months for severe patients. The treatment of vegetative state can sometimes take more than half a year.

This hyperbaric oxygen therapy brings benefits to medicine and to people's health. Of course, no one wants to get sick, so they must insist on exercising. When their resistance is improved, their body functions will naturally improve, and diseases will be kept away.
