What are mites

What are mites

Mites are very common. Many people in adolescence have mites on their faces. Mites are very harmful to the skin, and when such a problem occurs, it must be improved in time, otherwise the problem will become bigger and bigger, and it will also cause a lot of damage to the skin. So what are mites? Many people are not very clear about it, so before treating it, you must also understand it.

So what are mites? There are some reasons for their appearance, so we must pay attention to this when eliminating mites. However, after mites are formed, people must also pay attention to their diet and eat less greasy food.

What are mites?

Demodex (scientific name: Demodex), also known as hair follicle mites or hair follicle mites, is commonly known as "mites". It is a genus of small parasitic mites that often parasitize in the hair follicles of mammals. There are more than 140 known species and subspecies of Demodex mites; they are the smallest arthropods. There are two known species that parasite on humans: Demodex folliculorum and Demodex sebaceous glands, often referred to as "eyelash mites." Demodex infestation is very common and patients generally do not experience any symptoms; Demodex mites may occasionally cause certain skin diseases.

Mites are transmitted through contact and cross-infection. When they are first infected, they parasitize in places that are easy to contact, where the temperature and humidity are suitable for their growth and reproduction, and where the sebaceous glands are relatively abundant, such as the nose, forehead, and face. When the face is first infected, a few people will feel a slight itching on their nose and face when they sweat and when they sleep at night. After a period of time, blackheads will appear (they are secretions excreted by mites, which clog the pores and cause them to dry and harden). As the pores begin to slowly become coarser, the skin begins to change from neutral to mixed, and then to oily. If it is not treated promptly and effectively, it will cause skin inflammation. This is what we call "acne, rosacea."

Through the above introduction, we have a good understanding of what mites are. Therefore, we must persist in eliminating mites. However, it should be noted that when eliminating mites, we must do it slowly. We should not be in a hurry when eliminating such things, otherwise it will not do any good to the skin.
